Hello Jaguar families, my name is J.R. Mills, and I’m excited to get started in my new role with HHHA. I am truly honored to have been chosen by the board of directors for this position and extremely excited to drive HHHA forward. While many of you may know me from the 8U program, for those that don’t, please feel free to reach out to me in this new role if I can be of any assistance. A little about me, I live in Westminster, CO with my wife, Kirsten and my two sons, Evan and Rylan. Both of our sons played their entire hockey careers with HHHA, Evan started 8U in 2009 and wrapped up playing 18AA in 2022. Rylan began in 2011 at 8U and just finished this year after three years playing varsity hockey for Standley Lake. I am originally from Northeastern Montana and moved to Colorado in 1989 to attend school and have been here since. I’ve been involved at HHHA as a head & assistant coach, from the 8U beginner level up through 12UAA, have been running the 8U program for the last 13 years and have been on the HHHA Board of Directors in various positions since 2013. With my time at HHHA I have witnessed the good and the not so good and will work diligently to continue to move things in a positive direction and to support our athletes in accomplishing their goals both on and off the ice.
