Shadow - Junior Coaching and Leadership

We’re excited to announce our new junior coaching and leadership initiative - SHADOW. SHADOW was started by two of our own Jaguars, Jamison Rhodes and Alex Kemp. They both grew up playing hockey and were very involved this past season, contributing to Hyland's younger programs. Since both are seniors in high school, they wanted to make sure there were kids like them to help lead the way for the next generation of players and coaches. That's why they created SHADOW.

SHADOW is built to help young athletes take the next step both on and off the ice. It’s more than drills and practices; it’s about mentorship, accountability, and leadership. Through SHADOW, players learn what it means to lead by example, motivate others, and grow into confident role models for their teammates and community.

Each letter in SHADOW represents the values we aim to build every session:

S – Strength

H – Honor

A – Accountability

D – Discipline

O – Outwork

W – Win

This program is designed for players who want to grow as leaders, not just as athletes. Whether you are looking to coach one day or simply become a stronger teammate, SHADOW provides the foundation to make that happen.
