HHHA Welcomes William Lee

The Board of Directors for Hyland Hills Hockey Association is thrilled to introduce William Lee as our new Executive Director. This announcement comes after a rigorous national search involving over 50 candidates, facilitated by an independent recruiter and carefully narrowed down by our board's specific criteria. Through a process that involved multiple stages of interviews, William emerged as the standout choice among three finalists, perfectly aligning with our vision for the association's future.

William Lee brings to the table a remarkable blend of skills and passion that we were seeking for our next leader—dedication to the development of athletes, exceptional people leadership, and a robust communications background essential for engaging with members and stakeholders. His enthusiasm for youth sports and astute understanding of the operational dynamics of a non-profit align perfectly with the values and spirit of Hyland Hills Hockey. We warmly welcome William to our community and look forward to the direction he will steer our association, confident in his ability to elevate our programs and inspire our athletes, coaches, and entire community.

My name is William Lee, and I can’t wait to get started in my new role with HHHA. I am truly honored to have been chosen by the board of directors for this position and I am extremely excited to get to work. One of my initial goals is to meet and talk with as many members as I can, so please feel free to reach out to me once I get my new contact information set. The board and I are also working on an introduction event, and we will send that information out as soon the details are set. A little about me, I live in Broomfield with my wife of 15 years (Rachel) and two boys Jackson (9) & Connor (7), I have a marketing degree from Michigan State University and Master in Sports Management from University of Texas. I grew up in Metro Detroit and played rec hockey from the age of 6 to 18 in the Grosse Pointe Hockey Association and have continued to follow the sport since. I have spent the majority of the past 15 years working in Intercollegiate Athletics, most recently at Regis University as the Assistant Athletic Director for External Relations. In my career I have worn many hats including donor relations, event planning, sport oversite, revenue generation, student athlete development and being a department representative for conference and national meetings. I hope to continue the great things that HHHA does while exploring new opportunities and most importantly continuing to support our athletes in accomplishing their goals both on and off of the playing surface.
